Beginning Boutique’s commitment is simple; we want to be better and do better, for the planet, for the people, and for the future.
We recognise our ability to give back and are so excited to be able to dedicate a space for our corporate charity partners to educate and inspire.
We pledge to donate 1% of all proceeds to our charity partners.
Supporting diversity and equality aligns with the values of Beginning Boutique through our BB Better commitment to do better for the People & our Future. We are delighted to be recognised as a Corporate Partner of Stars Foundation.
The mission of Stars Foundation is to support and enable Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls and young women to make active choices towards realising their full potential in all aspects of their development and wellbeing. Since it was founded in 2015, Stars has contributed significantly to improving education and health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young women by providing full-time, in-school mentoring and engagement programs.
A good education is one factor most likely to reduce Indigenous disadvantage in Australia. In 2019, Stars saw 91 per cent of its senior students complete Year 12. At the end of June 2020, 91 per cent of Stars 2019 graduates had successfully transitioned into full-time work or further study. The average rate for Aboriginal and Torres Strait girls and young women is 65%.
Beginning Boutique’s donation will help the organisation to employ more than 40 Mentors, and help fund full-time, intensive educational, social and emotional support, fund extra-curricular activities and excursions, as well as school materials such as uniforms and technology.
Our partnership with Greenfleet has been established to support our native biodiverse forestry within Australia and New Zealand, while also committing to do better for the Planet & the Future, by neutralising the impact of carbon emissions.
Greenfleet has been in operation for over 23 years as a leading environmental not-for-profit-organisation, supporting over 500 forests and 9.4 million trees. By strategically sourcing land, Greenfleet has been able to obtain agreements to protect all of their forestry and trees for 100 years. This allows for the full carbon offsetting abilities of the trees throughout their lifetime to assist in minimising industrial carbon emissions.
As a fashion retailer our biggest environmental impact as a brand is through our manufacture process and freight. Neutralising our carbon emissions produced through these processes by donating to Greenfleet and contributing to native restoration projects is reducing our carbon footprint and improving our Planet & Future.
Beginning Boutique’s aim is to offset more than 10,000 tonnes of CO2 - equivalent to the production of approximately 400,000 t-shirts this year.

Beginning Boutique is supporting White Ribbon Australia in the fight against the increasing rate of domestic violence and emotional abuse women experience daily in their own homes, in the workplace and on the street.
White Ribbon Australia’s mission is to eliminate gendered violence by promoting gender equality and creating new opportunities for men to build positive, healthy and respectful relationships.
On average 1 in 4 women have experienced emotional abuse by a partner. Additionally to this, 1 in 5 women have experienced sexual violence since the age of 15.

Additionally, our donation will enable White Ribbon to educate, advocate and lobby for law reform against gendered violence.
Protecting the welfare of animals is so important to Beginning Boutique. We have partnered with RSPCA QLD to support their strategic plan to build a society free of cruelty and abuse of animals.
In 2019, over 52,000 animals came into the care of RSPCA QLD - from cruelty or injury - highlighting the ongoing need for more to be done in our communities to protect the welfare of all animals.
Thanks to our donation, the organisation is able to keep 1 of 11 ambulances on the road for 7 months. In that time they will be able to save on average 1,600 animals.
Donations to date: $15,000
Beginning Boutique believes in minimising waste products where we can, as well as upcycling and reusing items where possible. This helps mitigate waste products reaching landfill.
